Budget 2025 : Congress has targeted the budget 2025 presented today by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The Congress has alleged that ‘Make in India’ has now become ‘Fake in India’ and its new name is the National Manufacturing Mission. Party General Secretary Jairam Ramesh, citing the budget speech, claimed that the Finance Minister has shut down on the demands of the farmers and the recommendations of the Parliament’s Standing Committee on agriculture.
Jairam Ramesh targeted Finance Minister
He wrote on X, ‘Make in India, which became Fake in India, now its new name is the National Manufacturing Mission.’ The Finance Minister started the budget from agriculture, but he remained completely silent on the demands of farmers and the recommendations of the Parliamentary Committee on agriculture. He referred to the recommendations of the Parliamentary Committee, which recommended the implementation of the Minimum Support Price (MSP), agricultural loan waiver, inflation individualization of PM farmer payment and improvement in PM crop insurance scheme as a legal guarantee.
Announcement of ‘Prime Minister Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana’ in the budget
The Finance Minister announced the ‘Prime Minister Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana’ on Saturday. The scheme will cover 100 districts with low yields, modern crop durability and average loan standard. Presenting the eighth consecutive budget, the Finance Minister said that 1.7 crore farmers will get the benefit of this scheme.
Bihar gifts, Andhra Pradesh neglect
Targeting the Modi government, he said, “It seems that Bihar has received a gift, while Andhra Pradesh has been completely ignored.” In the budget, more attention has been paid to Bihar. Several announcements have been made for the state, including the establishment of the Makhana Board, the Financial Assistance for Western Kosi Nagar and the announcement to increase the capacity of IIT Patna.

According to the announcement made in the budget, the central government will set up the National Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management Institute in Bihar and will also provide Greenfield Airport facilities there to meet the future needs of the state.
