BSP Functionary Battered To Death Over Land Row, He Resigned From Congress To Join BSP 2 Days Ago | FPJ

Satna (Madhya Pradesh): Fifteen people battered a 26-year-old man Shubham Sahu to death in the Mahadeva area in Satna city in the early hours of Monday.

Sahu, former general secretary of the Youth Congress, joined the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) two days ago.

The police said a dispute over a plot of land may have been the reason for the murder. Three persons, Pankaj Gautam, Rajneesh Gautam and Vipin Gautam of the same family, fell into the police dragnet.

Sahu was brought to the district hospital, from where the doctors referred him to the Rewa Medical College. But he died on the way to the Rewa Medical College. Sahu’s death sparked panic in the area.

A video of the incident shows nearly 15 people were beating up Sahu. He resigned from the Congress and joined the BSP two days ago.

A group of people surrounded him when he arrived at Satna from Bhopal. There are 11 criminal cases against Shubham in the Civil Lines, City Kotwali and Kolgawan police stations.

According to reports, Shubham and his father, Mahesh Sahu, occupied some private lands. One of the lands that the Sahus encroached upon belonged to the Gautams.

The administration banned the entry of Shubham in the district in 2014 for his unlawful activities. Shubham’s father further alleged that chairman of Nagar Nigam Rajesh Chaturvedi and his brother Umesh had hatched the murder conspiracy.
