The bunker was located around 1 km from the India-Bangladesh border on paddy fields. According to The Telegraph report, there were three bunkers which were at least 15 feet deep and were reinforced with iron sheets and equipped with metal covers. There were also locking mechanisms.
The bunkers were spacious and were reportedly stuffed with hundreds of bottles of Phensedyl. “Some bunkers were found in the border areas of Nadia, which are being thoroughly examined,” said BSF South Bengal frontier spokesperson and DIG Nilotpal Kumar Pandey as reported by the media house.
The bunkers were recovered amid high alert along the Bangladesh border amid the change in Bangladesh’s political situation after Sheikh Hasina’s ousted.
