Brampton/Mumbai, July 7 (HS). Batting great and former West Indies captain Brian Lara has expressed his excitement about the upcoming Global T20 Canada, saying that all the six teams this season are looking great and he will enjoy some mesmerizing cricket.
The much-anticipated Global T20 Canada is set to begin on July 20 at CAA Centra, Brampton, where home team Brampton Wolves will open their campaign against new team Mississauga Panthers.
“I am really looking forward to this year’s GT20 Canada event,” Lara was quoted as saying in a media release. All the six teams are looking great this year. I will be there to enjoy some mesmerizing cricket.”
This year, the league is joined by the Toronto Nationals, Brampton Wolves, Montreal Tigers and Vancouver Knights, as well as two new teams – the Surrey Jaguars and the Mississauga Panthers. The tournament serves as a platform for local Canadian talent to showcase their skills alongside international stars.

The grand line-up of marquee players also includes Caribbean all-rounder Andre Russell, Chris Lynn, Colin de Grandhomme, Colin Munro, Shoaib Malik, Alex Hales, Iftikhar Ahmed, Rassie van der Dussen as their marquee players for this edition.
