Former Australian speedster Brett Lee heaped praise on Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, claiming him to be an absolute superstar. Lee, who was part of SRK-owned Kolkata Knight Riders, recalled his stint with the franchise and observed how down to earth the veteran actor is.
The retired Aussie cricketer had spent the first three years with Kings XI Punjab (Now Punjab Kings) before moving on to be part of the Knight Riders from the 2011 edition. In 34 matches for the Kolkata-based franchise between 2011 and 2013, Lee picked up 24 scalps and was part of their title victory in 2012.
Responding to a question from a Pakistani user on his YouTube channel which read as, “Hi Superstar! I’m from Lahore! Tell me about meeting and chilling with Shah Rukh Khan.
“Shah Rukh Khan is an absolute superstar. The best way I could say and sum up Shah Rukh Khan is that he’s an absolutely lovely guy. A gentleman, it’s him probably texting right now. I got a chance to spend three years with under his guidance at the Kolkata Knight Riders, the highest-paid actor in the world, the most popular actor in the world. For all that he has achieved, he is so down to earth. So, he is an absolute superstar, Shah Rukh Khan. We love you.”
