Mumbai: A Brazilian woman was arrested at an attempt to smuggle cocaine worth Rs 11 crore in India at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus International Airport in Mumbai. The woman counted about 100 capsules.

According to DRI, they had received information that a female passenger going from Sao Paulo (Brazil) is involved in drug trafficking. On the basis of a secret information, the authorities launched a campaign at the Mumbai International Airport. In which a Brazilian female passenger reached the airport. Which was stopped on suspicion.

After this, he was searched and no suspicious item was found from him. However, when the woman was questioned, she suspected that she was constantly moving her hand on her stomach, then she confessed to swallowing cocaine -filled capsules. Since these capsules were fatal, he was immediately admitted to a government hospital. After this, 100 capsules were carefully extracted from the woman’s body under the supervision of doctors.

A total of 1,906 kg cocaine was found. The estimated market price of which is 10 lakh rupees. Its price is said to be 10.96 crores. This was a very dangerous effort of smuggling, because if a single capsule was torn inside the body, the woman would have died.

After all these procedures, the Brazilian woman was arrested under the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act and further investigation was done in the case.

In which police officers are trying to find out if this woman is a fugitive of an international drug syndicate and who she was going to deliver this cocaine in India, the matter was further investigated to find answers to all these questions.
