Hotels will not serve Bangladeshis: The incidents of atrocities on Hindus have increased after the interim government in Bangladesh. Recently, a case of insult to the Indian flag also came to light in the neighboring country, in protest against which a hospital in Tripura refused to treat Bangladeshi citizens. Now the State Hotel and Restaurant Owners Association (ATROA) has also joined the boycott movement and announced not to provide rooms and meals to Bangladeshi guests.

Decision of Hotel-Restaurant Association of Tripura
Association general secretary Saikat Bandyopadhyay says that this decision was taken in the emergency meeting held on Monday. In this regard, he said, ‘India is a secular country and respects all religions. Our national flag has been insulted by a section of extremists in Bangladesh and minorities are being continuously harassed. Even before this, such incidents have come to light. But now he has crossed the limit.

Bandopadhyay further said, ‘The current situation in Bangladesh is worrying. We serve every guest visiting Tripura. But we also condemn the treatment of minorities in Bangladesh.

Denial of treatment in Tripura hospital

Ahead of the decision not to provide rooms and meals to Bangladeshi nationals in hotels and restaurants, a multi-specialty private hospital in the state had also taken strict action against atrocities on minorities in the neighboring country. Under which the hospital announced not to treat any patient from Bangladesh. This hospital is very popular among Bangladeshi patients because it is convenient and affordable.

Bangladeshis denied treatment even in Kolkata

Not only Tripura, recently a hospital located in Maniktala, northern part of Kolkata, also refused to treat Bangladeshi patients. A Kolkata hospital official said, ‘We have decided to stop treating Bangladeshi patients. India has played an important role in the independence of Bangladesh, but still we have to face anti-India sentiments from there.’
