Two Delhi-NCR schools have once again received threats to blow up. Soon after the threat, the school administration informed the police. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot and the dog squad was deployed in the school premises to investigate any possible threat. The school was closed as a precaution and the students were sent to a safe house.
Which schools received threats?
According to officials, the threat has been received by Elcon International School in Mayur Vihar Phase 1 in Delhi and Shiv Nadar School in Sector 168 in Noida.
Delhi Police’s statement
According to Delhi Police, the principal of Elcon International School received a bomb threat through an email. Seeing the seriousness of the case, the Bomb disposal squad of the eastern district, Pandav Nagar police station in -charge (SHO) and other police personnel reached the school. Intensive searches were conducted of the entire school building, but no suspicious items were found.
Noida police action
Shiv Nadar School, Sector 168, Noida was also threatened with bombing. As soon as the information was received, the police started investigating the school premises and classes. CCTV footage is being investigated. The school management sent email to all the parents and informed the students to close and sent the students home.
Such threats have been received earlier also
Significantly, on February 6, four schools in Noida received similar threats, but no explosive material was recovered in the police investigation.
Police investigation continues
Delhi and Noida police are currently investigating the matter. The cyber cell has also been alerted to detect the source of the threat. Security agencies are cautious and the security of schools has been tightened.
