Senior film actor and director Manoj Kumar has passed away. He breathed his last at the age of 87. He died at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. Indian actor and film director Manoj Kumar, especially known for his patriotic films, was also known as Bharat Kumar.

Born as Harikrishna Giri Goswami on 24 July 1937, Manoj Kumar was an inspiration for all artists. Along with acting, Manoj Kumar also directed several patriotic films, including “Shaheed” (1965), “Upkar” (1967), “East and West” (1970), and “Roti Khataba Aur House” (1974).

Dadasaheb Phalke Nomination for Award

Manoj Kumar was awarded the Padma Shri in 1992 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2015 for his contribution to Indian cinema. He won everyone’s heart with his work. Apart from his patriotic films, he performed and directed and directed in many best films like ‘Hariyali Aur Rasta’, ‘Woh Kaun Thi’, ‘Himalaya Ki Lap Mein’, ‘Do Badan’, ‘Patthar Ke Sanam’, ‘Neel Kamal’ and ‘Kranti’.
