Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) shared precautions and tips for Holi on Wednesday via X. They also provided advice on what to do if colour accidentally gets into the eyes. BMC conveyed this information through a video on X, in which a doctor explains the necessary steps to take if you face an issue with colour in your eyes.

They mentioned that if you notice colour in your eye, there are specific steps to take. If your eye becomes red and watery and you experience photophobia (light sensitivity) and pain, the first step is to wash your eyes with fresh water for about 10 minutes. If this does not provide relief, you should use lubricating eye drops, which may help alleviate discomfort. If the pain is severe, you should visit an eye doctor for a check-up.
