BMC Extends Deadline For Property Tax Until March 31, To Accept Payment During Holidays

Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced an extension for the property tax deadline, making it easier for Mumbai residents to pay their taxes. In a post via X on Friday. BMC shared that tax payments can now be made at the Citizen Facilitation Centre (CFC) and all 24 Administrative Ward Offices, even during the long weekend and financial year-end. With extended hours, residents can now pay their property taxes conveniently, anytime and anywhere.

In an X post shared by BMC, they mentioned, “Even if the last three days of the financial year are holidays, there is no need to worry!

To facilitate property tax payments for Mumbaikar, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has arranged special payment facilities at all Citizen Facilitation Centers (CFCs) and across 24 administrative wards.”

Meanwhile, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) also extended the deadline for the water bills until March 30. The BMC is giving to Mumbai residents a chance to pay the dues on the festival holidays. The announcement was made via X on Thursday. The extension process is carried out under the Abhay Yojana Scheme. This initiative aims to the residents to settle their dues on time.

In an X post, BMC stated, “Water bills can be paid on all three public holidays—29th, 30th and 31st March 2025—between 8 AM and 12 Midnight. Under ‘Abhay Yojana’, you can get a waiver on additional charges by paying your water bill in full at once.”The last date for bill payment is Monday, 31st March 2025. Ensure timely payment to avoid inconvenience.
