The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has taken action against the Unicinental Hotel located in Khar area of ​​Mumbai. Parts of ‘The Habitat’ studio inside this hotel are being demolished. This is the same studio where the show of standup comedian Kunal Kamra recently took place. During this show, Kamra had taken a sarcasm on Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, causing a big controversy.

BMC team vandalized studio

On Monday, the BMC team reached ‘The Habitat’ studio with hammers and started vandalizing there. According to media reports, the studio was built on the encroached land located between two hotels.

Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik discussed the matter with BMC Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani, after which the H-West ward officials were ordered to investigate. BMC Assistant Commissioner Vinayak Vispute said that the studio owner had built some illegal temporary sheds, which are being removed. He said that no notice is required to remove such encroachments.

BMC officials also said that the investigation of the studio maps is going on, and further action will be taken if any other illegal construction is found.

12 accused got bail, Shiv Sena leader also included

After this entire controversy, Shiv Sena workers vandalized the ‘The Habitat’ studio on Sunday. 12 accused were arrested in this case, who have now got bail from Bandra Court.

Shiv Sena leader Rahul N. Kanal is also among these 12 accused. According to reports, all the accused have been released on a personal bond of Rs 15,000.

Kunal Kamra called Eknath Shinde a ‘traitor’ during her show and sang a parody song against her. After this, Shiv Sena workers vandalized the studio. Reacting to this incident, Rahul Kanal said:

“It is not a matter of taking this law in hand, but a matter of self -esteem. When the elderly and respected people are insulted, it becomes necessary to teach such people a lesson. It was just a trailer, the whole picture is still left. Every person coming to Mumbai will get a response in the style of Shiv Sena.”
