Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The BJP’s state unit in MP is going to get its president in January. The process for electing BJP’s state president will be over in January. After the election of Mandal presidents, the names of several district unit presidents will be announced.
Then, the party’s central leadership will announce the programmes for election to the post of state unit president. According to sources, union minister Dharmendra Pradhan will be the observer for the election to the post of state president.
Five years have passed since the present president of the party’s state unit VD Sharma took over. The party is mulling over the name of a SC/ST leader. The names of former union minister Faggan Singh Kulaste and MP from Khargone Gajendra Patel are in discussion. Former minister Lal Singh Arya is also an aspirant for the post.
Apart from them, legislator Hemant Khandelwal and former minister Arvind Bhadoria are aspiring for the post.
Names of district presidents to be announced by Jan 5
The BJP organisation will announce the names of district presidents by January 5. A panel for the district unit presidents has been sent to the state party office. A decision will be taken in a day or two after mulling over these names. After the announcement of names of the district unit presidents, the process for electing state party president will begin.
