There is a direct contest between the Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and BJP in the national capital. Both the parties are firing ammos at each other and alleging irregulations in the upcoming polls. BJP is claiming that Arvind Kejriwal will not be able to take oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi due to the binding order of the Supreme Court.
Delhi BJP President Vijendraa Sachdeva said, “I challenge Arvind Kejriwal, who is presenting himself as a candidate for the post of Chief Minister, to take legal advice from a lawyer and understand that due to the binding order of the Supreme Court against him, he can never take oath as Chief Minister.”
On the other hand, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal wrote to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) regarding allegations of irregularities in the voter list in the New Delhi Assembly constituency.
He said in the letter, “Union ministers and leaders of BJP are getting fake votes made at their home addresses. FIR should be lodged against them immediately and action should be taken. An application has been given to create 33 new votes at the address of BJP candidate Parvesh Verma. If this has happened with the will of the BJP candidate, then Parvesh Verma should be immediately disqualified from contesting elections.”
