Mumbai: BJP MLA Suresh Dhas, who has been vocal against former minister Dhananjay Munde over his alleged link to the Beed sarpanch murder case, announced on Saturday that he will send a letter to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) regarding a Rs 200 crore scam in the agriculture department, along with evidence against the NCP leader.

Dhas alleged that Munde misused Rs 200 crore from the agriculture department during his tenure as a minister. Some related documents have already been submitted to the state government.

He accused Munde and Valmik Karad of withdrawing Rs 200 crore from the department without proper authorisation. Dhas also alleged corruption in various schemes, including Rs 21.26 crore in nano urea, Rs 56.76 crore in DAP (Diammonium Phosphate), Rs 45.53 crore in battery procurement, and overpriced cotton storage bags.

Additionally, Rs 180.83 crore was allegedly withdrawn by Munde and his associates. Dhas has demanded the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the corruption during Munde’s tenure.

He further highlighted that procurement decisions were made without any demand from farmers or regional officers, with proposals approved and government resolutions (GRs) issued on the same day.
