He said that the real strength of the BJP is his dedicated worker, who remain active at every level and convey the message of party’s values and good governance to the people. The Prime Minister said that he is proud of the fact that BJP workers are working hard day and night in every corner of the country and are engaged in the service of the poor, the underprivileged and the needy. Their dedication and enthusiasm are inspiring.
BJP’s journey: from two seats to majority government
The Bharatiya Janata Party was established on 6 April 1980. The party won only two seats in the 1984 Lok Sabha elections, but after that the party continued to increase its strength. The BJP became a strong political power at the national level under the leadership of leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and LK Advani. In the year 2014, the BJP got an absolute majority at the center for the first time and since then this journey of the party has been continuously moving forward.
