Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A recent quarrel involving BJP corporator of Ward 65 Kamlesh Kalra and MiC member Jitu Yadav and the subsequent attack on Kalra’s son has prompted Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP) city president Gaurav Randive to issue show cause notices to both Yadav and Kalra.
The attack, which took place at Kalra’s Khatiwala Tank residence, left his mother and son injured after a group of assailants barged in and assaulted them.
The letter written to Jitu Yadav highlighted allegations of his involvement in the attack, as claimed by Kalra. Randive asked Yadav to provide a written explanation within two days regarding his alleged role in instigating the assault at Kalra’s home.
It is mentioned in the letter that an IMC worker known to Yadav misbehaved with Kalra, who complained to the building officer of the area concerned. The building officer called Kalra for settlement, keeping the IMC worker on conference call, during which he had an altercation with Kalra.
A few hours later, there was an attack at Kalra’s house Kalra is claiming involvement of Yadav in this attack. The letter issued to Kamlesh Kalra referred to his conduct during the verbal altercation with the IMC employee and said his behaviour allegedly disrupted party harmony. Randive also sought Kalra’s written response within two days.
CM, state BJP chief apprised of incident
MLA Malini Gaur met BJP state president VD Sharma on Saturday, accompanied by Kalra and his family. She expressed her displeasure over the incident and lodged a complaint against Jitu Yadav. Later that night, Gaur met CM Mohan Yadav, showing him video evidence and briefing him about the attack. On Sunday, through a complaint letter Jitu Yadav gave clarification to the CM during his visit to Indore, demanding a fair investigation into the matter
