Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A bizarre incident has come to light in Gwalior’s Bhitarwar police station area, where a mother of two children reportedly eloped with her minor brother-in-law, stealing her family’s jewelry with her.
The matter came to fore after the woman’s husband approached the police station and lodged a complaint against his wife and the theft.
According to the victim husband, who is a 28-year-old man from a village in Bhitarwar, his wife went out of the house telling her mother-in-law that she was going to switch on the lights in the room of their farm.
However, she never returned home. When the family checked, they found that the ornaments were also missing from home.
Police launch search
Suspecting foul play, the husband lodged a complaint at the local police station, accusing her of running away with his minor brother, who is a resident of Sankhani village.
Sub-Inspector Chandrashekhar Singh from Bhitarwar police station confirmed the preliminary investigation reveals that the woman has indeed left with her brother-in-law. The woman also took family jewelry with her. The police have registered a case and launched a search operation to locate the duo.
Efforts are underway to find them, and authorities are confident they will be traced soon.
