Jalaun, 2 October (Hindustan Reporter). Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated with great pomp in Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh. District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar Pandey, while administering the oath of unity and integrity in the Collectorate premises, asked the employees to follow the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. After this, school children org.zed a program in the school under Road Safety Fortnight. Under this program, citizens were made aware of traffic rules so that any untoward accident can be avoided. Raktdaar Civil was org.zed in the same district hospital in which blood donors donated blood to save the lives of people and took an oath to help them.
Let us tell you that on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, various programs were org.zed in Orai, the headquarters of Jalaun, in which school children displayed talent and also explained the rules of road safety through programs under Road Safety Fortnight. District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar Pandey and Superintendent of Police Durgesh Kumar paid tribute to the great men by garlanding them in the morning. After this, people’s morale was boosted by participating in the blood camp org.zed in the district hospital and fruits were distributed to the patients admitted in the hospital. During this, Sadar MLA Gauri Shankar Verma was also present.
He told that on the instructions of the government, Road Safety Fortnight is being org.zed from October 2 to October 16, in which people are being given information about traffic related rules. School children also made people aware through programs. A blood camp was org.zed in the district hospital in which social workers of the district pledged to save lives by donating blood. After this the fruits were distributed to the patient.
