A student was shot dead during the tenth board (matriculation) examination in Bihar. The incident occurred due to a dispute over cheating, in which a group of angry students, who were angry at not showing answers in the examination hall, shot the student after ending the examination.
Another student was seriously injured during the incident, who has been admitted to the hospital. The matriculation examination, which started in Bihar from 17 February, will run till 25 February, in which about 17 lakh students are appearing.
How did the incident happen?
The incident took place in Dhaudand police station area of Rohtas district on Thursday evening. A student of a student was already waiting outside the examination center. As soon as the examination was over and the student came out, he was fired on him.
In this firing, Amit Kumar, a resident of Shambhu Bigha village, died, while Sanjeet Kumar was seriously injured.
Police action and arrest of accused
Rohtas SP Roshan Kumar said that the accused who fired the shooting has been arrested and he is being questioned.
According to the police, both the deceased and the accused were matriculation candidates and Sant Anna was taking the exam at the school examination center.

Reason for quarrel: students angry over not copying
There was a debate between the two about not cheating during the examination on Wednesday. Both were students aged 15 to 17 years.
At around 6 pm on Thursday evening, when 20-25 students were returning home after the examination was over, the group of boys who were ambushed on the way opened fire on seeing Amit.
- Amit was shot in the back, killing him on the spot.
- Sanjeet was shot in his hand, which has been admitted to the hospital in critical condition.
Investigation of case continues
The injured students were immediately rushed to Narayan Medical College Hospital, but Amit could not be saved.
The police is investigating the matter deeply and trying to find out who were the rest of the accused involved in the attack. This incident has raised serious questions on the increasing crime in the examination in Bihar and the violence caused by cheating.
