Who is Jeffrey Goldberg: A major mistake of the Donald Trump administration has come to light in the US. Senior officials here added a journalist to a group chat with information related to sensitive matters. Now the journalist himself has revealed this. Jeffrey Goldberg is the editor -in -chief of ‘The Atlantic’ magazine. He said in the column of a magazine that he was involved in the group chat with top officials of the Trump administration. The group chat was created by National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.

Journalist added to messaging app

Jeffrey Goldberg said in his Opinion section of ‘The Atlantic’ that, ‘On March 11, 2025, President Donald Trump’s Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave information about the US attack on Huthi rebels in a group chat on the messaging app signal. I was given information about this attack only two hours ago. At first I felt that maybe someone is making Pit Hegseth’s disguise to trap me, but later it was found that the matter was something else.

Share information about war

Jeffrey Goldberg said, “I was added to a signal chat group called ‘Houthi PC Small Group’.” In this, External Affairs Minister Marco Rubio, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Vice President J.D. Vance and other officials were involved. They were explaining their plan for war. I felt as if I was included in this group to embarrass journalists. I suspected that this group chat could be real. Because I could not believe that the US national security leadership would talk on war plans on the signal. Also, the National Security Advisor became so careless that he added the editor -in -chief of the Atlantic to a group chat, with Vice President J.D. Vance was also involved.

Hegseth denied Goldberg’s claims.

Goldberg further stated that very sensitive details about the attacks were being shared in group chats, such as attack time, main goal and deployment of weapons for attacks. In addition, information about the attacks in Yemen and their goals was also shared. Regarding this mistake made by the authorities, former Defense Secretary and CIA Director Leon Peneta said, “If someone else had received this message instead of Goldberg, he would have already informed the huts about the attack, which would have retaliated against the US.” They could attack American establishments in the Red Sea, causing damage to our soldiers. On the other hand, when President Donald Trump was asked about this, he said, “I have no information about this.” On the other hand, Pete Hegseth has denied Goldberg’s claims and said that he has not shared any information with journalists about the lips or any kind of war. The NSA has accused Goldberg of spreading lies.
