UPI closed across the country
The UPI has been closed in the entire country since the morning of 12 April. Therefore, users are facing difficulties in making digital payments. Users are facing many difficulties when using Unified Payments Interface (UPI). Many users have complained on social media platforms and outage tracking platforms. Users have said in their report that many apps like Paytm, Phonpe and Google Pe have stopped working or there is difficulty in paying.
According to the information received, there were problems at around 12 noon today. According to data from the outage tracking platform dowdater, the number of complaints was at the peak around 12 noon, with more than 1,200 users reported problems. Many users complained to the social media platform X. Some have also shared mimes about this. Users have expressed heavy dissatisfaction due to difficulties in online payment. Because in today’s digital age everyone is dependent on online payment. Similarly, the users were unable to pay due to UPI down.
On social media, a user said that digital transactions have stopped due to UPI shutdown. No payment is made on Paytm and Google Pay. According to the Dowditector, 66 percent of the users faced payment problems, while 34 percent of the users were unable to transfer funds. These problems were seen in various banks and apps, which indicates a big flaw in the UPI network.
The National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI), which runs UPI, has not yet given any information about why digital payments are still suspended. However, some users reported that the interruption in transactions had begun from morning itself, which further affected digital payments.
