Gandhinagar: When it comes to the film ‘Nayak’, the image of one day CM Anik Kapoor directly comes to our mind. In this film, Anil Kapoor becomes the CM for a day, takes tough decisions and shakes the whole system from the bottom. In this way, after winning the election, CM Bhupendra Patel of Gujarat is visiting offices one after the other like Anil Kapoor after taking oath for the second time and many times people are shocked to see this sight.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has emerged as a soft-spoken but firm Chief Minister in the minds of the public, which shows his innate nature and sensitivity towards the problems and concerns of the common man. After taking over the public service responsibilities of the state government for the second consecutive time, the Chief Minister has given clear instructions to the government departments, district administrators for quick redressal of public grievances. Not only this, now Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel himself has adopted a new method of meeting people directly in villages and towns, listening to their complaints by sitting among them.
According to this approach the Chief Minister goes to the villages without any pre-determined program or instructions and listens to the grievances of the people. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel along with Chief Secretary Pankaj Kumar went to Bapupura and Vadasan and Vihar villages of Mansa taluk of Gandhinagar district on Saturday morning to promote this approach of public consultation. Where the villagers were surprised to see the Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary coming to their village to listen to the questions of the people.
In these villages, the Chief Minister asked the villagers to sit among the people and tell them whether they had any problems or dilemmas. The Chief Minister started a round of interaction with village elders, senior citizens, youth, teachers, rural mothers etc. and asked popular questions. The people of this village submitted their request to the Chief Minister for installing barbed wire fence to protect the crops from cattle, providing more facilities in the veterinary hospital, starting a library and connecting the ponds of both the villages and giving their opinion . He did so without hesitation to allocate water for agriculture and irrigation and the site for the village high school grounds.
The Chief Minister gave instructions on the spot to Chief Secretary Pankaj Kumar and District Development Officer Surbhi Gautam, Provincial Officer Mamlatdar etc. for quick and fair disposal of all these complaints.
It may be noted that Bhupendra Patel visited the Vihar Gram Panchayat building and also visited the Hanumanji temple in the village. All the villagers appreciated this public welfare sensitive approach. Expressing happiness, the villagers said that the good governance, knowing the problems of the village by going against the government, has come true under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the direction of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
