Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A budget-friendly pod hotel is set to open on April 4 at Bhopal Railway Station, near Platform No. 6, on the first floor of the new building.
The hotel will have 20 family pods and 118 single-bed pods for travelers.
The rental charges will start at ₹299 per hour, offering a comfortable resting place for passengers. The railway will also arrange food and drinks for the guests.
Pod hotel facilities
The single-bed pods will be 5 feet by 7 feet in size, while the family pods will be large enough to accommodate a couple and two small children.
These capsule-style pods are designed for short stays, making them ideal for passengers waiting for their next train within 2 to 4 hours.

CCTV Surveillance: The hotel premises are monitored through CCTV cameras for security.
Single Pods: A total of 58 single pods have been set up.
Family Pods: There are 20 family pods, where two adults and two children can stay comfortably.
According to Senior DCM Saurabh Kataria, the preparations for the pod hotel are in their final stage, and the authorities are working on the last-minute arrangements to ensure a smooth launch. He mentioned that the official inauguration date and detailed pricing structure will be announced soon.
The proposal to set up a pod hotel at Bhopal Railway Station had been under discussion for the past three years, with several delays and planning phases.
Now, after years of anticipation and efforts, the project is finally nearing completion and is set to become a reality for travelers.
