Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Social media influencer and Bhopal resident Harsha Richharia who earned fame at the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj has issued suicide threat after being trolled and defamed through AI- generated videos.
Harsha uploaded a video on her Instagram account in which she lamented that some anti-religious elements were defaming her through AI-edited videos of her. “I will fight till the strength given to me by Mahadev. I will face the odds but I will end my life if I fail to continue fighting and will take the names of those responsible for this,” Harsha said in a video uploaded on her Instagram page on Tuesday night.

Harsha in the video said she vowed at Mahakumbh to work for Hindutva and raise awareness regarding religion and Indian culture among youths. “However, some anti-religious elements with male ego are stopping me. I am receiving messages and emails from many people,” she claimed, and added, “People familiar to me made some old videos of mine viral on social media with messages that how can Harsha be a sadhvi. I never claimed being a sadhvi as I was in a different profession. These people stooped to such a level that they used AI to generate my fake videos and circulate them on social media to defame me. I am receiving 25 to 30 messages and emails from people everyday pushing me to take action against the people defaming me,” Harsha said in choked voice.
I have got the names of the people who are trying to stop me. “If any morning it is known that Harsha Richharia has committed suicide, then I will leave behind the names of people. I will mention the names of each person who has done wrong to me,” she said.
Harsha,30, rose to fame after being seen on a peshwai chariot of Niranjani Akhada at Mahakumbh in Prayagraj on January 4. Harsha in her statement said she was not a sadhvi when some people began trolling for being a social media influencer and her old videos on Instagram. Some seers also issued statements objecting to Harsha’s presence on the chariot.
Plaint filed Harsha’s personal assistant said a complaint had been given to cyber cell for taking action against those who circulated fake AI generated videos of her. The complaint has been given two weeks back, he added.
