VHP Protest Against Bangladesh: Bhopal, Indore Markets Including 56 Dukan To Be Shut For Half-Day; RSS Joins Rally Collecting Crowd | X

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A massive protest against attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh is being held in Bhopal, Indore and other districts on Wednesday.

The protest is being held at Bharat Mata Square in Bhopal and at the Lalbagh Complex in Indore. RSS have set a target to collect as many as 50,000 people.

As a part of demonstration, markets in Bhopal and Indore will remain closed till 4 pm. As per the traders and shopkeepers, the public was informed about the ‘Bandh’ on Tuesday.

Bhopal, Indore markets to closed for half day

The markets in the capital city of Bhopal will remain closed for half a day on Wednesday. Traders have taken to the streets in protest against the persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh. Grain traders at the agricultural produce market will halt purchases, and all depot operators will participate in the demonstration at Depot Square.

Whereas in Indore, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is holding an ‘Aakrosh Rally’ on Wednesday. Responding to the RSS’s call, members of the Hindu community, affiliated ideological organizations, RSS volunteers, BJP workers, and trade associations began gathering at the Lalbagh Complex from 9 am onwards. They will proceed as a rally to the Collectorate, where a memorandum addressed to the President will be submitted.

Although the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) is spearheading the demonstration, the RSS has plunged into action to gather crowd for it. The RSS has set a target for the BJP leaders to gather crowd. The BJP leaders have also told their supporters to gather crowd for the protest.

The ministers, legislators and other leaders of the party are pulling out all the stops to collect people to display their strength. The BJP leaders are openly supporting the movement. The RSS is organising a movement across the country against the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh.

According to a BJP leader, pressure will be mounted on the Bangladesh government through such protests. The Congress said such protests were being organised on the roads would yield any results. According to former minister Sajjan Singh Verma, it was Indira Gandhi who freed the people of Bangladesh from the torture of Pakistan by launching a surgical strike. The RSS is taking out rallies on Indian roads, but Bangladesh government is not going to be scared of it, he said, adding that the government of India should take action.
