Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Residents of the state capital here have the opportunity to host foreign and Non-Resident Indian (NRI) guests during the upcoming Global Investor Summit (GIS) 2025. Industrialists, investors, and dignitaries from around the world are expected to attend the summit, scheduled for February 24-25.

To offer a cultural experience to the guests, the Bhopal Development Authority (BDA) is facilitating a ‘home stay’ arrangement under which the families can accommodate international guests in their homes without making any special modifications.

The aim is to provide guests with an authentic experience of the lifestyle and traditions of Madhya Pradesh. Interested families can give their consent by February 20 by contacting BDA executive engineer Arvind Mandari.

As part of the process, homeowners need to submit a video of the available room, which will be shared with the guests. The officials thereafter will verify the arrangements on-site. The government will provide transportation for the guests during their stay.

The initiative is expected to strengthen cultural ties and promote hospitality of Madhya Pradesh on a global stage.

Initiative to showcase MP’s traditions

Bhopal Collector Kaushlendra Vikram Singh talking to Free Press said that the initiative aims to showcase the state’s rich cultural and family traditions to international visitors. Any family with a well-maintained home in any area of the city can apply, he added.

So far 10-12 people have shown their interest to host NRIs and foreign guests at their home.  We are trying to find more home stays to offer various options to our guests.
