Navi Mumbai: Parents keen on getting their children to learn a new artform or skill set have the opportunity to get their wards enrolled at Vashi based Bhavan Children’s club. The club, an initiative by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB), has officially opened its membership for children.
“The club aims to provide children with opportunities to develop their skills, boost their confidence, and explore their talents in a structured and supportive environment. Through sports activities, creative contests and educational trips, young members will get exposure to new experiences, teamwork, and learning beyond textbooks,” said Dr Veena Adige incharge of the club.
The club located at Sector 30, Vashi has commenced with its membership program. The club conducts 12 to 15 activities especially for children. The activities conducted includes hosting of workshops, sports events, contests on different topics, screening of educational videos, excursion etc.
The annual membership fee is set at Rs.1000, payable to Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. “Once the payment is made, parents are required to submit a copy of the receipt along with their child’s name, address, date of birth, contact number, class, and school details,” said Adige.
Events to look forward to –
The 5th Annual Program of the club is on Sunday, February 16,2 at 4 pm at the Kendra. The Chief Guest for the occasion is J J Singh, CMD at a company manufacturing parts for mini steel plants.
There will be a Variety Entertainment show by members of the club, exhibition and prize distribution of contests held during the year and dance performance by Sahana School of Performing Arts.
