Mumbai: A fire broke out on a BEST bus at Marve Bus Station on Friday morning; fortunately, no one injured. The incident occurred at approximately 8:12 AM and involved a CNG-powered bus (Bus No: 521) operating on Route 272. The bus belongs to the Malad bus depot of BEST.

According to initial reports, the bus was stationary at the Marve bus station when it suddenly caught fire, believed to have been caused by a gas leak from the engine.

Two fire brigade vehicles were dispatched to the scene and managed to bring the blaze under control before it could spread further or cause any harm. Fortunately, no passengers or staff were reported injured.

Officials have confirmed that the vehicle, bearing registration BC114718/BD 007765, will be towed back to the Malad depot for further inspection and repair. An internal investigation into the cause of the gas leakage and fire is expected.
