Bengaluru: The city is facing persistent rain and cooler temperatures as a result of Cyclone Fengal, which has been influencing the area since Sunday. As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), light rain is predicted for the city on Sunday, December 8, 2024. The temperatures are expected to vary from a minimum of 18 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 27 degrees Celsius.

The city witnessed the Sunrise at 06:30 am and the city’s sunset is scheduled to set at 5:53 The humidity level is expected to range around 60 per cent, which is lower than the humidity level on Sunday. Today, the wind is expected to blow steadily from the Southeast at a speed of 11 km/h, and the Air Quality Index (AQI) is expected to stand at 53, which indicates good air quality in the city.

The IMD has predicted light showers with partly cloudy skies. With persistent rainfall and humidity, the residents of the city are advised to carry umbrellas while stepping out. Taking the IMD as a source, the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) said, “Moderate rainfall is expected in the southern hinterland, coastal & rainfed districts of the state. Scattered showers are expected in north interior districts.”

The minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to hover around 18 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius. The weather department predicted mostly cloudy skies and the wind is expected to blow from Southeast at a speed of 11 Km/h.
