Bengaluru: The Silicon Valley of India is set to experience light rainfall on Monday, January 13, 2025. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city will experience a shift in weather conditions. The weather department said that Karnataka’s capital will experience its initial rainfall this year on January 13 and 14.

Due to the rainfall, temperatures are also expected to dip and weather is expected to be cloudy today. Change in weather conditions is anticipated due to the formation of cyclonic circulation over the southeast Bay of Bengal.

The minimum and maximum temperatures is expected to be around 19°C to 27°C. The city is expected to have cool weather and a foggy morning on Monday. According to the IMD, January is the coldest month of the winter season, during which the average minimum temperature is around 16°C. The city witnessed the sunrise at 6:45 am is expected to set at 6:11 pm.

The humidity level is expected to range around 65 per cent. Today, the wind is expected to blow steadily from the East at a speed of 16 km/h, and the Air Quality Index (AQI) is expected to stand at 101, which indicates moderate air quality in the city and its adjoining areas.

Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report on X and wrote, “Scattered moderate rain in hilly districts. Dry air is likely over the north interior districts. There will be moderate to heavy fog over the state and scattered showers.”

Moderate rainfall is predicted in coastal areas, South Interior Karnataka and isolated places of Mapnad districts of Karnataka. Meanwhile, dry air is likely to prevail in North Interior Karnataka.

The minimum and maximum temperatures will likely hover around 17°C and 26°C on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. The humidity is expected to be around 70 per cent.
