Bengaluru: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted temperatures to drop to 10°C to 12°C in the next three to four days. Numerous regions in Karnataka, including Bengaluru, are set to experience foggy mornings on and even colder weather than last year.

On Wednesday, the city is expected to have cool weather as the minimum temperature is likely to drop to 16°C. Meanwhile, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 27°C. According to the IMD, January is the coldest month of the winter season, during which the average minimum temperature is around 16°C.

The city witnessed the sunrise at 6:44 am and is expected to set at 6:09 pm on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. The humidity level is expected to range around 42 per cent. Today, the wind is expected to blow steadily from the Northeast at a speed of 14 km/h.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature is likely to be 2°C to 4°C below normal in numerous regions of southern interior districts, including Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Davanagere, and Mandaya.

According to the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC), dry air is likely to prevail over the state, and moderate and dense fog is likely to occur in the interior districts in the morning, including Belgaum, Bidar, Vijayapura, Kalburgi, and Haveri, among others.

The minimum and maximum temperatures will likely hover around 15°C and 27°C on Thursday, January 9, 2025. The humidity is expected to be around 55 per cent.
