Bengaluru: The cooler December temperatures in Bengaluru result from persistent rains triggered by low-pressure systems near the coast in recent weeks. The city that witnessed the sunrise at 06:35 am is expected to experience partly cloudy skies. Meanwhile, the sun is scheduled to set at 5:57 pm. The minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to hover around 17 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, December 17.

The humidity level is expected to range around 58 per cent which is lower than the humidity level on Monday. Today, the wind is expected to blow steadily from the Northeast at a speed of 11 km/h, and the Air Quality Index (AQI) is expected to stand at 78, which indicates moderate air quality in the city and its adjoining areas.

Today’s weather forecast

Today, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has not issued any rain alerts for the city, and dry air is expected to dominate across the state. However, the skies are likely to remain cloudy. The weather department confirmed that no rain alerts have been issued for today in the city or other parts of Karnataka. Additionally, moderate to dense fog is forecasted to occur throughout the state.

The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) has shared a weather report on X and stated, “Dry air is likely over the state with scattered moderate rain in south interior districts and revival of rain in coastal, hill and north interior districts from December 19.”

The city is set to witness the Sunrise at 06:35 and the sun is expected to set at 5:57 pm on Wednesday, December 18. The minimum and maximum temperatures will likely hover around 20 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius. The humidity is expected to be around 68 per cent. The wind is expected to blow from the Northeast at 14 Km/h.
