As the assembly election year begins in Delhi, politics has heated up. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Kejriwal has written a letter to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and raised questions on the policies and activities of BJP.
What was said in the letter written to Mohan Bhagwat?
Kejriwal has raised three main questions in his letter and made serious allegations against BJP.

- “Respected Mohan Bhagwat ji, greetings. I hope you are well. There are reports in the media that RSS will seek votes for BJP in Delhi elections. Is this correct? Before this, the public wants to know what is the stand of RSS on the wrongdoings of BJP?”
Kejriwal’s questions
Arvind Kejriwal asked three questions to Mohan Bhagwat regarding the behavior and policies of BJP:
- Allegations of vote buying:
- “BJP leaders are openly buying votes by distributing money. Does RSS support this kind of behaviour?”
- Accusation of cutting votes of Dalits and poor:
- “Votes of the poor, Dalits, Purvanchali and slum dwellers are being deducted on a large scale. These people have been living here for years. Does RSS consider this right?”
- Accused of weakening democracy:
- “Doesn’t RSS feel that this attitude of BJP is weakening Indian democracy?”
Mention of old letter on corruption and politics
Even three months ago, Kejriwal had written a letter to Mohan Bhagwat, in which he had raised questions on the relations between BJP and RSS.
- In that letter he had questioned the retirement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
- Also, BJP was accused of breaking the leaders of other parties and including corrupt leaders in the party.
