31 -year -old Shubham Dwivedi was a businessman from Kanpur. He visited Kashmir with his wife and family of 11 members. Shubham was married to Ishanya Dwivedi on February 12, two months ago. This was the second visit to Shubham and Ishanya after marriage and this time he decided to travel with his family. Members of Shubham and Ishanya’s family were also part of the visit.

Shubham’s cousin Saurabh said, “When the terrorists attacked, Shubham and Ishanya were horse riding in that area. A militant wearing an army uniform asked Shubham if he was a Muslim. The other asked him to speak ‘Kalma’. When Shubham said that he did not know ‘Kalma’, he shot him.” Saurabh said, “Shubham’s wife Ishanya told the militants to kill me too. But he refused and said,” Go and tell your government what we have done “.”
