This season also the impact player rule will apply
To make the IPL more exciting, the Impact Player Rules were implemented and the BCCI has decided that the rule will continue in this season as well. This means that the impact player rule will also be used in this season.

The decision to lift the ban on spit use was considered almost fixed, as players like Mohammed Shami had urged the authorities to abolish the rule.
