BCCI Central Contract 2024-25: A+ grade to Virat-Rohit again, Ishan-Sray’s return, the fate of many youth shines

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released a new list of Central Contract for the 2024-25 season. 34 players have got a place in this list, in which the entry of many young players, while Shreyas Iyer and Ishaan Kishan’s return has caught special attention.

A+ Grade: Rs 7 crore annually

There has been no change in this top grade.

A grade: Rs 5 crore annually

This grade consists of experienced and active players of India.

B Grade: Rs 3 crore annually

There are some permanent and some withdrawal players in this grade.

C grade: 1 crore rupees annually

In this grade, new and young faces are given more attention.

Shreyas Iyer and Ishaan Kishan return

In the last session, both were excluded from the contract after ignoring the board’s order.
Now Shreyas is included in Grade B and Ishaan in Grade C.

Banging entry of youth

• Talented youth like Abhishek Sharma, Rinku Singh, Tilak Verma, Dhruv Jurlel, Nitish Reddy, Sarfaraz Khan have now become part of the annual contract of BCCI.

• All these players have recently performed brilliantly at domestic and IPL levels.

Central contract duration

It will be applicable from 1 October 2024 to 30 September 2025.
