The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the final squad, with Rohit Sharma leading the team as captain and Shubman Gill serving as vice-captain. The squad features a strong mix of experienced players and emerging talents across all departments.
According to a BCCI notification, in a major blow to Team India, star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy due to a lower back injury. The Men’s Selection Committee has named young fast bowler Harshit Rana as his replacement in the squad.
In another change, spinner Varun Chakaravarthy has been included in the team, replacing Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was initially part of the provisional squad.

Additionally, the selection committee has named three non-traveling substitutes Yashasvi Jaiswal, Mohammed Siraj, and Shivam Dube who will be available to join the squad in Dubai if required.
