SM18 start Winter Challenger Cup with win
SM18 Cricket Academy clinched a 17-run victory over Cricket Mantras in a high-scoring thriller of the Winter Challenger Cup that started on Thursday and will go on till January 3, 2025 in Lucknow. Batting first, SM18 posted an impressive 210/4, powered by S. Naik’s explosive 46 off 18 balls, featuring four fours and four sixes. He was ably supported by D. Manve, who anchored the innings with a composed 66 off 42 balls, and B. Kulal, who contributed a steady 46 off 45 balls. In response, Cricket Mantras leaned heavily on R. Patil, who single-handedly kept them in the hunt with a magnificent 118 off 67 balls, smashing 17 fours and four sixes. However, the lack of support from his teammates proved costly as Cricket Mantras could only muster 193/5, falling short despite Patil’s valiant effort.
