The first change is that from now on to Hariyali Teej, Thakur ji’s darshan will be in Phool Bungalow. About 500 kg flowers will be used to decorate this special bungalow. Apart from this, the time of visiting Banke Bihari temple has also changed during the summer season.
Flower bungalow starts from Kamada Ekadashi
From April 8, a flower bungalow will be decorated in the morning and evening at the Banke Bihari temple. This process begins with the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month, ie Kamada Ekadashi. From this day, Thakur ji gets out of the womb of the temple and sits in Jagmohan and from here he gives darshan to the devotees. This tradition of flower bungalow will continue till Hariyali Teej. The process of darshan in Phool Bungalow and Jagmohan in 2025 will start from April 8 and will run till 24 July. During this time, Thakur ji will appear to the devotees amidst the smell of different types of colorful flowers.
Banke Bihari flower bungalow is made with 500 kg flowers
There is a tradition of decorating flowers bungalow to provide coolness to Banke Bihari ji during the summer season. This tradition was started by Swami Haridas ji. In the Banke Bihari temple, about 500 kg flowers are used to decorate a time flower bungalow, which consists of a mixture of desi and foreign flowers. According to estimates, more than 1000 kg of flowers are used in the flowering bungalows decorated in the morning and evening. Once the cost of decorating flower bungalow comes around 5 lakh rupees. The temple has to wait for about two years for this service.
Summer time of Banke Bihari Temple
According to the season, the time of service and temple darshan of Thakur ji changes. From now on, the time of visiting Thakur ji at Banke Bihari temple during the summer season will be from 07:45 am to 12:00 pm and then from 05:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
