A bank manager from Hisar, Haryana, who had gone to Rishikesh over the weekend, was swept away in the Ganges. He jumped into the river saying that he would swim and cross the Ganges, while his friends started standing outside and started making videos. He kept floating for a while, but was swept away by the river due to strong current.
A video related to this whole incident has surfaced. It is said that it belongs to the Go Ghat of Rishikesh. No clue of the bank manager has been found yet. Many teams including SDRF are searching for him. Members of the bank manager’s family have also reached Rishikesh and are praying for their son’s health.
Pradeep HDFC Bank, resident of Hisar, is a collection manager in the Agricultural Loan Department at Dhaka Hansi. According to father Satbir Dhaka, Pradeep had planned to go to Haridwar with 3-4 friends. His friends also work in the bank. All of them had Saturday and Sunday holidays and made this plan. Accordingly, all finished work on Friday (April 25) and left for Haridwar in the evening.
According to family members, all friends went to Rishikesh after Haridwar. Everyone started bathing in the Ganges at the cow ghat here. Some friends stood on the shore and started making videos of him, while Pradeep was taking a bath in the Ganges with a friend. Meanwhile, Pradeep went ahead with his friends, saying that he would cross the Ganges river and return. However, after just 3 to 4 meters, he started flowing into the Ganges.
Seeing Pradeep drowning, his friends shouted for help. The team of divers present there reached the spot and started searching for Pradeep in the Ganges. The search operation continued for a long time, but Pradeep could not be detected. After this, a search operation was started by calling SDRF team.
SDRF team Inspector Kavindra Sajwan says that Pradeep’s search is on. On the other hand, after receiving the information, some friends and his brother Mandeep have reached Rishikesh.
