Assembly elections are going to be held in Delhi on Wednesday, 5 February 2025, due to which banks will remain closed. Although the day does not include this day in the RBI holiday official list, the Branch Head of IndusInd Bank in Delhi has confirmed that the bank branch will remain closed in Delhi on Wednesday.

Apart from Delhi, banks will remain open in the rest of the states of the country. If you want to settle the necessary work related to banking in Delhi, then complete it before 5 February.

Why will the banks be closed in Delhi?

Due to assembly elections: Banks will remain closed due to elections in 70 assembly seats in Delhi.
RBI guidelines: Usually RBI allows banks to be closed in the state where elections are held.
Online banking will be ongoing: Customers can use ATM, cash deposit machines, online banking and mobile banking services on holiday.
