Bank Holiday List 2025: Take the necessary work related to the bank in advance the next three days

News India Live, Digital Desk: If you are planning to settle any necessary work related work in the next three days, then be careful, because the banks will remain closed due to the upcoming holidays. From April 29 to May 1, 2025, bank services will be affected in different states due to Parashuram Jayanti, Akshaya Tritiya and Labor Day.

April 29: Parashuram Jayanti

Lord Parashuram Jayanti will be celebrated on 29 April. Banks will remain closed in Shimla on this day. Bank services will be available normally in other states.

April 30: Akshaya Tritiya

On April 30, Akshaya is Tritiya, which is considered extremely auspicious for gold shopping. On this day, banks will remain closed only in Bengaluru.

May 1: Labor Day and Maharashtra Day

Labor Day is celebrated on 1 May. Maharashtra Day is also on this day. Due to this, banks will remain closed in Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna and Thiruvananthapuram. Also, Mumbai -based stock market (BSE and NSE) will also be closed.

Banks will be closed for a total of 8 days in May

Bank holidays in India come in two categories – the first holidays declared under the Negotiable Instruments Act, and the second monthly accounts related holidays. May 2025 has a total of 8 bank holidays, including national holidays, regional holidays, Sundays, and second and fourth Saturdays of every month.
