Bank holiday: Indian stock markets will be closed on Monday, 14 April on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti. According to the holiday calendar, there will be no business in the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Monday. On the other hand, the banks will be closed for three consecutive days due to the holiday on Monday.

Banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. The second Saturday is coming on 12 April. Therefore, there will be no work in banks on this day. Therefore, banks remain closed on Sunday as it is a weekly holiday. Ambedkar Jayanti is coming on Monday and according to the RBI calendar, banks will remain closed in many states including Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Meghalaya and Himachal Pradesh on this day.

April 18, Friday: Banks in states including Assam, Rajasthan, Jammu, Tripura, Himachal Pradesh and Srinagar will remain closed on Good Friday, which is celebrated in memory of Jesus Christ’s cross.

April 20, Sunday: Weekly holiday for all banks in India.

April 21, Monday: Banks will be closed in Tripura due to tribal festival Garia Puja celebrated in the state.

April 26, Saturday: Due to the fourth Saturday of the week, there will be a holiday in all banks in India.

April 27, Sunday: Weekly holiday for all banks.

April 29, Tuesday: Banks will remain closed in Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of Lord Sri Parashuram Jayanti, which is the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu, Parashurama’s birth anniversary.

April 30, Wednesday: Banks will remain closed on the occasion of Basav Jayanti in Karnataka. The day is celebrated in honor of Basavanna, the founder of the Lingayat sect. Also, banks will be closed on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. Akshaya Tritiya is considered auspicious day for wealth and prosperity.
