Jaipur, 14 November (Hindustan Reporter). Rajasthan High Court has put a stay on recovery of three-year increment given to Senior Medical Officer. Along with this, the court has issued notice to the Principal Medical Secretary, Health Director and Registrar of Rajasthan University of Health Sciences and sought their reply in the matter. The single bench of Justice Sudesh Bansal gave this order while conducting preliminary hearing on the petition of Dr. Yash Dashora.
In the petition, advocate Harendra Neel told the court that the petitioner was appointed medical officer in the year 2015. And in October, 2022, he was promoted to the post of Senior Medical Officer. The petition said that RUHS started a two-year course of Master of Public Health in the public health institute established under it. In which the petitioner took admission and completed this course recently. Earlier, the state government issued a notification on July 26, 2023, making a provision that if senior medical officers and officers senior to him have a master’s degree or equivalent diploma in any branch of medicine or surgery, then they will be given three annual increments. It was told in the petition that in compliance with this notification, the petitioner was given the benefit of three annual increments on September 12. Later, by issuing an order on 25th October, the order of 12th September was cancelled. Along with this, the recovery of the amount given under this order was removed. The petition said that the petitioner was given the benefit of three annual increments as per rules. Apart from this, he was not even given a chance to present his side before taking action against him. While hearing the same, the single bench has sought answers from the concerned authorities and has put a stay on the recovery being made from the petitioner.
