Aurangabad: BAMU’s Youth Festival To Kick Off With Grand Procession, Star-Studded Inauguration, And 2,000 Talented Students Ready To Shine! |
The four-day youth festival organized by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) will start on December 25 with a grand procession in the morning, said the Board of Students Welfare, Dr. Kailas Ambhure.
The youth festival will be held between December 26 and 28 on the university campus, and the timetable of the four-day-long events has been declared. As many as 2,000 students from 295 colleges in the four districts under the jurisdiction of BAMU will showcase their talents during the festival. The main function will be held at ‘Shrujanrang’, a platform established near the Dramatics department. Other platforms like Lokrang (Auditorium area), Nadrang (Kabaddi Maidan), and Lalitrang (Lalit Kala department) have also been established.
A grand procession will start from the statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on Wednesday at 8:30 am. The teams will present tableaux on the burning topics before the country today in the procession. The procession will culminate at the Shrujanrang platform. Later, the youth festival will be inaugurated by Commissioner of Police Praveen Pawar at 11 am. Renowned actor and director Mangesh Desai, actor Dhananjay Sardeshpande, Vice Chancellor Dr. Vijay Fulari, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Valmik Sarwade, Registrar Dr. Prashant Amrutkar, Dr. Kailash Ambhure, Dr. Yogita Hoke Patil, Adv. Dattatray Bhange, and others will be present.
Actors Sameer Chaugule and Sham Rajput will distribute prizes to the winning teams during the valedictory function to be held on the last day of the festival.
