Balod/Raipur, 2 December (HS). Today on Monday, traders and civil organizations kept Balod closed against the shifting of the District Court out of the city. Various business organizations and civil organizations actively participated in the bandh. All the shops and institutions of the city remained closed except hospitals, medical stores, schools-colleges and other essential services.
Four-time councilor Kamlesh Soni said that the attitude of the administration towards the city residents will not be tolerated. If no conclusion is reached here within a week, then Balod city can also be closed indefinitely.
Traders told that the construction work of the new District Court building is about to start in village Seoni, under which the District Court located in Balod will be shifted to Seoni. Along with this, other government offices are also being transferred out of the city. Traders are opposing this. Balod traders and various organizations are against this.
Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce President Raju Patel said that gradually all the government offices are being taken away from Balod city through a conspiracy. Due to this, all small and big businesses are facing struggles. The condition of business is very bad. If an office in the form of court which is built in Balod. If he is also taken outside, we may have to beg.
Traders believe that having a court in Balod city is important in every way, and its removal will have a negative impact on the businesses here. Traders and civil organizations have protested and appealed to the administration to reconsider this decision.
