Bajinder Singh, a self-styled pastor from Punjab, faced heavy backlash after a viral CCTV footage featured him assaulting his employees. Recently, a new video surfaced on the internet, wherein Singh can be seen with one of the men he had slapped in the viral clip, who claimed that the footage was AI-generated.

The CCTV footage, which reportedly went viral in February, showed Singh slapping a male employee and throwing a bunch of papers at a woman sitting across him with a child on her lap. When the woman walked up to Singh to confront him, he pushed her away and slapped her.
Reacting to the video, a netizen shared the same CCTV visual captured from a different angle, refuting Singh’s claims of it being fake.

Following the incident, the woman in the video, reportedly identified as Ranjit Kumar, filed a complaint with DSP Mullanpur against the pastor. In a statement given to ANI, she said, “When I stopped him (Pastor Bajinder Singh) from hitting a person present there, he hit me with a notebook. At the time, my 1.5-year-old daughter was with me. He also badly hit the boy presented there. The govt should probe if the footage were real or AI-generated. After this, I resigned from the Church. He also threatened me. I had gone there out of devotion.”

Speaking about the alleged assault, DSP Mohit Kumar Aggarwal told the news agency that Kaur and several others reported being mistreated and assaulted by Singh after prayers. He added that appropriate action will be taken against the pastor.
Bajinder Singh Booked For Sexual Harassment
A 22-year-old woman filed a complaint against Singh in Jalandhar for alleged sexual harassment on February 28. In her complaint, she claimed after her family started attending his church in 2017, Singh started texting her. Fearful of the consequences, she kept it from her parents. In 2022, he allegedly made her sit alone in a cabin on Sundays after mass, where he inappropriately touched and hugged her. She also accused the pastor of threatening to harm her family members if she complaint against him.
Charges Against Bajinder Singh
Singh has been booked under IPC sections 354A (sexual harassment), 354D (stalking), and 506 (criminal intimidation). A three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT), led by SP (Phagwara) Rupinder Kaur, is investigating the case. The Punjab State Women Commission has also taken suo-motu notice, ordering security for the complainant, while the National Commission for Women (NCW) has urged swift action.
In 2018, Singh was booked for sexual harassment following a complaint by a Zirakpur woman and was arrested at the Delhi airport while traveling to London. A Mohali court recently issued warrants against him in the case. In 2022, he was accused of taking money from a Delhi family for treating their daughter, who later died. In 2023, the Income Tax department also raided the pastor’s premises.
Denying all allegations, Singh called them baseless, claiming that fake chats can be created and insisted that the complainant suffered from seizures due to “evil spirits.”
