Bajaj Auto has decided to discontinue the Pulsar F250, CT125X, and Platina 110 ABS in India due to low market demand. Despite being introduced within the past four years, these models struggled to attract significant buyers, leading to their removal from the company’s website. The Pulsar F250, launched in late 2021 as a successor to the iconic Pulsar 220F, featured a sporty half-faired design and was priced at Rs 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
However, shifting consumer preferences toward naked street bikes hampered its popularity. Interestingly, the Pulsar 220F, which is priced slightly lower at Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom), continues to enjoy steady demand and remains available in Bajaj’s lineup.
Bajaj Auto has removed the ABS-equipped Platina 110 and the CT 125X from its Indian lineup. Launched in 2022, the Platina ABS was priced at Rs 72,224 (ex-showroom) and was the only bike in the 110-115cc segment to feature an anti-lock braking system. While the drum brake variant remains available, the ABS has been discontinued.
Similarly, the Bajaj CT 125X, introduced at Rs 71,354 (ex-showroom), was positioned above the CT 100X and offered a rugged commuter design with drum and disc brake options. Despite these discontinuations, Bajaj is preparing to roll out an updated RS 200 model, with social media teasers hinting an imminent launch.
Bajaj Auto has generated excitement among motorcycle enthusiasts with a teaser suggesting a major update to its Pulsar lineup. Posted on Instagram by @mypulsarofficial, the teaser features a blurred video accompanied by a raspy exhaust note, strongly hinting at a refreshed RS200. Another post adds to the buzz, showcasing an image of the RS200 with the caption, “We know it’s been long, the memoRieS RETURN,” with the highlighted letters ‘R’ and ‘S’ pointing toward the iconic model’s comeback. While most speculation revolves around an updated RS200, some fans are hoping for the debut of an RS400, potentially powered by Bajaj’s 373 cc engine from the Dominar 400 and NS 400Z. With anticipation building, enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting official confirmation from Bajaj.
