Bagram Air Base: China occupies Afghanistan’s Bagram airbase, Trump made serious allegations on Biden administration

News India Live, Digital Desk: Former US President Donald Trump has made a big claim about the important Bagram airbase of Afghanistan. According to Trump, China has now occupied the Bagram airbase vacated by the US in Afghanistan. He made this claim during a program organized on the National Prayer Day of 2025 at the White House on Thursday.

Trump said that in 2021, the US had evacuated Bagram airbase while leaving Afghanistan. According to him, “We were about to maintain Bagram airbase, as it is located only one hour away from China’s nuclear weapon’s whereabouts. China prepares its nuclear missiles in this area.”

Trump, targeting the Biden administration, termed the return of the US Army from Afghanistan as “frightening” and “extremely irresponsible”. He said, “America left Bagram airbase, and now China has captured there. This is a very sad and madness of China.”

He also said that Bagram Airbase is one of the largest and strongest airports in the world, whose runway is one of the world’s longest and strongest runways. The base is located in the Parwan province of Afghanistan, which is about 47 km north of the capital Kabul. The runway here is about 11,800 feet long, capable of movement of heavy bombers and large cargo aircraft.

Trump also referred to the bomb blast at Kabul Airport on August 26, 2021 during Afghanistan’s return to Afghanistan, killing about 160 civilians, including 13 American soldiers. He alleged that the Biden administration’s negligence caused heavy damage to the image of America.
